Im glad that there are laws for special ed students. and that the willowbrook school was caught because you can’t treat people that way. we all should be treated equally, we all look different with special needs or with out it, we are still humans and shouldn’t be treated as animals.

it just breaks my heart the fact that there was a time when children with disabilities were discriminated like that. i am so glad there were laws created and refined. although the education system is not the best. it has come a long way. students should get all the necessary aid available.

This is something that I take very seriously. Descriminating against children is a horrible thing and this is why as teachers we need to be an advocate for all children who don’t have anyone to stand up for them.

I am in agreement with all of the comments that have been made in regards to this video. It is a shame that discrimination of any kind still exists today. In regards to special ed students, thankfully laws are now in place to protect them and their rights and that hopefully they have someone in their life to advocate for them and these rights.

It’s very sad and upsetting to see how children with disabilities were abused and discriminated, it was horrible and I hope that people who was doing it was punished. I am glad that laws were created to protect the individuals with disabilities and although conditions are still not ideal, special ed has come a long way and hopefully will keep on improving.

I am with all the comments and are happy to know that there are laws in place to help those who are special ed. i feel though even though with these laws in place some improvement can still be made, because there is always room for improvement no matter what situation.
